Following the exciting announcement of our partnership with renowned chef and best-selling author, Rachel Khoo, and the launch of the exquisite new Honey Dijon Mustard and Brie & Caramelised Onion flavours, we wanted to share a closer look at this special collaboration. Rachel Khoo, celebrated for her culinary journey in France and her deep appreciation for exceptional ingredients and French cuisine, has truly infused these new hand-cooked potato chips with a touch of joie de vivre.

Rachel's connection to France runs deep. Although she grew up in South London, she moved to Paris at age 26, without knowing the language, to study pâtissière at Le Cordon Bleu. Her experiences living and cooking in Paris, including running unique "underground pop-ups" where she tested recipes from her tiny bedsit kitchen – the very place featured in her BBC series and best-selling cookbook, The Little Paris Kitchen – profoundly shaped her culinary perspective. She learned that great food starts with simple, high-quality ingredients.
This partnership with KETTLE® Chips is described by Rachel as a "love letter" to her time in France, where her culinary career began. The goal was to bring sophisticated, "gourmet" French-inspired flavours to KETTLE®'s premium snack brand.
The two resulting flavours, Honey Dijon Mustard and Brie & Caramelised Onion, are both classic yet have a twist.
- The Honey Dijon Mustard flavour is designed to deliver a perfect balance of sweet and tangy notes. It features the warmth of authentic Dijon mustard mellowed by rich, golden honey. Rachel was particularly involved in ensuring the level of spice was just right for this flavour.
- The Brie & Caramelised Onion flavour is described as pure indulgence. It expertly combines the creamy, nutty notes of brie with the deep, umami-rich sweetness of slow-cooked caramelised onions. Developing this flavour was a collaborative process; KETTLE® Chips and Rachel considered several different cheeses, including camembert, but ultimately selected brie based on consumer testing and research to ensure they made "something people wanted to eat".

The development of these flavours was a "real team effort". Rachel was "very involved in the fun parts – the tasting, brainstorming, the creative side", working closely with KETTLE®'s incredible research & development team. The chips are made with KETTLE® Chips’ signature real-food ingredient seasonings and contain no artificial ingredients. They are also gluten-free.
Launched this month, these delicious new flavours are available in 130g bags with an RRP of £2.65. You can find them in Waitrose and Morrisons now, with plans to roll out to other stores soon.
The initial reaction has been overwhelmingly positive, with fans online already branding the new range "epic" and "yummy". KETTLE® Chips itself has hailed the new range a 'game-changer'.

Beyond the creation of these delightful flavours, Rachel Khoo's partnership with KETTLE® Chips extends to the KETTLE® Khoo Academy. This initiative is designed to support aspiring female food entrepreneurs and help combat disparity in UK kitchens. Rachel, who had to figure things out on her own when she was starting out, sees the Academy as a way to provide the mentorship and practical insights she wished she had, covering aspects like branding, marketing, and R&D. The program aims to give women a "real shot at success" and build a supportive community.
Rachel also encourages creativity with the new crisps. She has shared imaginative ways to use them in cooking, suggesting they can be incorporated into savoury eclair crisp sandwiches, used as a crunchy coating for chicken goujons (using the Honey Dijon Mustard flavour), crumbled over potato gratin, or even used to make a savoury cheesecake base.
